What is
Paramotor?
Paramotoring combines the simplicity of paragliding with the freedom of powered flight, letting you explore the skies on your terms.
sport overview
Paramotoring, also known as powered paragliding (PPG), is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a back-mounted motor (a paramotor) which provides enough thrust to take off using an adapted paraglider wing. It is the easiest and safest form of powered aviation.
FlyOppi serves as a safety rating and licensing body. We register pilot logs, evaluate theoretical qualifications, and audit certified PPG examiners. We maintain strict safety guidelines to verify pilot competence for powered aviation.

Key Features of Paramotor:
- •
Back-Mounted Motor: Equipped with a lightweight 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine on a harness, providing thrust to climb and maintain level flight.
- •
Flat-Field Launches: No mountain slopes required. Launch and land directly on flat grass fields, runways, or low plains.
- •
Throttle Flight Control: Control climb rate, cruise speed, and altitude variations directly by an hand-held engine throttle.
- •
Extended Air Time: Fly for hours autonomously by carrying fuel, bypassing the need for natural thermals or wind currents.
Paramotoring offers a unique combination of free flight and motorized autonomy, making it the most accessible form of personal powered aviation.
