FLYOPPI: Your Pathway to Safe and Skilled Flight!
FLYOPPI was founded by a dedicated group of highly experienced pilots with a shared passion for paragliding. As an independent, non-profit organization, it aims to promote aviation culture and knowledge while encouraging safe and lawful paragliding practices in line with aviation laws and regulations. The organization brings together skilled flight trainers to foster a vibrant paragliding community
1- Paragliding is an aerial sport that uses a lightweight, foldable canopy made from specialized fabric. The activity begins with a takeoff from a high point, like a hill or mountain, allowing the pilot to glide using natural air currents. Once in the air, the canopy harnesses wind and shifts in air temperature to help the pilot soar and control their descent.
2- A paramotor, or motorized paraglider, is a type of glider equipped with a lightweight engine. It combines the parachute used in paragliding with a small engine, which is either worn on the pilot’s back or mounted on a small vehicle. This engine allows the pilot to take off from level ground without relying on hills, mountains, or natural air currents.
3- A paratrike is a type of powered paraglider that incorporates a three-wheeled vehicle, combining a paraglider canopy with a motor attached to the frame. The three-wheeled (or occasionally four-wheeled) design provides enhanced stability during takeoff and landing, compared to a paramotor where the motor is worn on the pilot’s back.
